Dear Praying Friends,
Do our prayers actually "move the heart of God"? Your prayers? My prayers? I have always thought that Daniel 9:23
(10:12 also) was an amazing yet clear insight to this. Gabriel said to Daniel, "At the beginning of your supplications the command was issued, and I have come to tell you..." It's hard to miss the point on that one. What a stunning and encouraging thought. At which of your prayers does God turn to an angel and say, "That was a good request. Make it happen." If it happened once a month it would be worth praying. I think it happens a lot more. Our Father is eager to bless (Matt 7:11). Makes you want to pray huh.
Well I had the chance to witness to Jimboy, whom I met on the street walking home from my teaching. I took him to lunch, shared with him and invited him to see me on Facebook. He hasn't yet. I thought he would. I was disappointed. Pray for Jimboy.
Thanks for praying for my fatherly talk to my students about cheating. It went well; well received I think. Eight confessed to cheating and I hope everyone got a glimpse of how God feels when His children do something so dumb. Though not planned, I started singing "Only Grace" (Matthew West) at the end. They sang along. I hope they all grew a little closer to the Father.
PSC (my main ministry here) held a special event called Live Audacious to recruit and inform potential missionaries about our ministry. We had about 40 attend which was good. We are praying that some of these will end up as PSC missionaries reaching unreached people groups in Asia. I presented our new ministry that I called Activate- Helping Churches Mobilize. Larry Salisbury and I plan to go all out to get churches here pumped for missions. We appreciate your prayers there.
Many thanks to those of you who responded to our need for help with airfare. We still need a few hundred more. It is hard to say exactly because some gifts are still on the way. Thanks again.
At the risk of presuming upon you, we have another sudden need for more work funds that we want to tell you about. Follow this please. A group of 10 Southeast Asian nations has decided to go English in their educational system. Thailand is one of them and a particular region there has asked PSC specifically to send a team in May to teach English to a hundred or more educators in that area. Of course we would use this to start relationships with these influential people and share Christ with them after class. They actually said they would like a team every month (whoa!). We don't know what God is doing here exactly but we are going to follow it. In any case they want me to be on the team and be there May 12-20. I also have to take TESOL training in April/May. The total expense would be $860. This includes the TESOL training which will be invaluable for future missions trips. Thailand is a major target for PSC so this is very strategic. If you want to help us out on this then send your check to Titus Int'l and mark it Dennison Thailand Trip.
An exciting development for Sue is that she will become the elementary school art teacher next school year. This school educates about 500 MKs (a great great need). This will start in August after our short home assignment in June & July. She is pretty excited about that.
Support- We stand at about 70%. We took a hard look at our finances last night and figured out that because we gave up all income within the Philippines that our support is not going to cover the expenses anymore. We could use an infusion of about 16 supporters at $50/month. That would take the pressure off considerably. Thanks for praying about this investment. Again, the larger once a year pledge is just as helpful.
Daughters – Jill is still looking forward to a baby in October. Melissa was accepted into the Masters in Biblical Counseling program at Baptist Bible (PA). Cherry was accepted at Houghton College. She plans to study linguistics with a view to using that in missions. Hillary's team won the Far East International basketball championship. She looks forward to Word of Life NY in the fall. Heidi was MVP in JV basketball (not bad for a freshman-brag, brag, brag) and is now taking ballet.
For the lost of Asia,
Tom & Sue
PS – Remember that after your next prayer God may turn to an angel and say, "Make it happen".

Dear Praying Friends,
I was recently in Acts 12:16-25. Herod tried to stop the gospel juggernaut before it rolled too far. What happened? Peter walks out of prison, Herod is furious, soldiers probably died, Herod is struck dead in his arrogance and the 2 future super-missionaries (Paul & Barnabas) slip quietly out of Jerusalem to start the 2000 year program we know as missions. Who was that sitting on the throne again? He's still there. In Quezon City, late January 2012, a small group of mostly Filipinos and a few North Americans gathered at PSC for 2 weeks of training to help them on their ways to Thailand, Taiwan, Mindanao, China, Japan & Spain. Karl, Ed, Beth, Charlie, Weng, Darwin, Gennie, Joseph, Evelyn, Annette, Phil, Leonito, Eric, Allan, Alice, Joji, Sophia & Rachel. Who knows how the God who still reigns will use these unknown people as they quietly slip out of Manila to bring the gospel to those who least expect it. I just listened to Chris Tomlin sing these words; "Our God will not be moved; Our God will never be shaken.... We are a chosen generation; Rise up holy nation; God we live for you." This is the anthem of these people.
Sue and I had only a small part in this training but it was a privilege. The plan at this point is to phase out of my teaching role at Febias and become directly involved in recruiting & mobilizing men & women like these. It is happening; it is happening; it is happening. The Philippine church is rising to the challenge to reach the unreached people groups of Asia.
I actually just finished 3 days being trained myself in coaching/mentoring people in their ministries. It was a very useful time for my ministry in the near future.
Please pray that God would use us like crazy to raise them up and send them out. Thanks.
Short furlough – We plan to be back in the States for June & July. This is a mini-home-assignment to get Hillary squared away for college, raise some support and visit churches, family & friends. We have to be back early August because of visa considerations. We have a small matter we could use your help with. We have been socking money away for air fare but are about $1000 short. Any extra gift would be a big help to cover that. Thanks. Just send it to the address below with a note.
Concerning support we have lost some and gained some and stand at about 69%. As usual we appreciate you praying about getting on board in that way. A good number of people are doing this by pledging to send a larger once a year gift. That is also more than appreciated.
The missions classes I am teaching are going well except we had widespread cheating on an exam. Pray for me as I try to use this event to make these young people think harder about relationship with God, breaking a Father's heart, grace & forgiveness and consequences. It's a "teachable moment" I think.
On the family front:
Sue – spending a week cooking in primitive conditions for 250 MKs (Outdoor Ed)
Jill & Josiah – having a baby in October we think. Yeeehah!!
Melissa – visited us for Christmas. It was awesome. She plans to go for her masters in Biblical Counseling at Baptist Bible.
Cherry – plugging away at Word of Life 2nd year. Has about 5 great options in mind for the fall. Oh Lord, lead & guide.
Hillary – getting better and better in her AP Art class. She really is improving. We're impressed.
Heidi – high scorer on the JV b-ball team. OK for a freshman.
Rita (Sue's mom, age 89) – having her leg amputated just below the knee due to circulation and healing issues (2/6)
Thanks so much for your prayers and support.

Dear Praying Friends,
I had a rich time in 1 Cor 13 recently. Besides being a little surer about the meaning of the last 5 verses I was also encouraged by the point of vv.12-13. Our giftedness is not what will lead us on this journey (v.12) of knowing God but it will be faith, hope and love. They abide. They don't go away. We all have them. Especially love. Love for God. Love for the people around me. Especially love!
I am still continuing with my 3 classes at Grace and Febias. There are only 2 weeks more in those classes. In the next semester (starting Oct 31) I will be teaching Intro to Missions and Missionary Life & Work at Febias. This obviously should give me more opportunities to promote missions to these students.
Beside this there has been a fairly busy slate of preaching and teaching in churches, chapels and seminars. We have taught Mormonism, New Age Movement and Freemasonry in a Sunday school series about cults and religions. We have preached about grace, the voice of God, 3 passions, bewildered, betrayer or believer, vision casting, and an extravagant obsession and have sung Only Grace, The Voice of Truth, and The Motions. If any of you are envious that we get to speak and sing about such juicy topics on a regular basis, I don't blame you. It is a rare privilege indeed that we have. Actually there is more. Others are actually impacted, changed, influenced or even saved by all this preaching, teaching and singing. In one chapel 2 kids raised there hands for salvation, about 30 for dedication and 25 kids bought quiet time diaries. Another kid messaged me on FB that a message and song from last year was still haunting him to get out of his comfort zone and serve Christ where he was.
As a result of 2 recent missions trip by PSC there are now 4 in Bible College with at least one committed to missions.
There are 5 trips (with Febias students) planned for Oct 21-28. Most are not far from Manila but one will be in the mountains of Mindoro reaching out to the Mangyan people. Tom will be on that trip. Please pray for these trips. Who knows what change, impact, influence or eternally good decision will result.
Thanks for letting us be here. Oh yeah; by the way. All of this good stuff happening is on your account too; all of you that help us in some way to be here. If you're not convinced read Phil 4:17 and 2 John 5-8.
We also had the opportunity to go back to my old stomping ground at Word of Life and present to them missions opportunity with PSC. WOL produces a lot of graduates zealous to reach the lost. We hope we can connect well with some of them and see them reaching the unreached with PSC in the future.
The family is doing well. Sue still going strong at Faith Academy, Hillary developing some sick skills in volleyball and Heidi patrolling midfield for varsity soccer. Cherry decided to go to 2nd year at Word of Life Bible Institute. God opened some closed doors for her to do that and we are real happy about that. Melissa (23) seems to have gotten through the "broken car blues" and still avoided total bankruptcy. Jill & Josiah are well in NH with Josiah working in the masonry business. Jill makes tremendously insightful posts on my GCC Discipleship FB page and thereby helps us disciple Chinese-Filipino students from the other side of the world. We also have already been ice-skating this "fall". Not bad for living in the tropics.
As for support it hasn't budged an inch. We are at 68%. If you have considered supporting us, now would be a good time to jump in. Why? God has very clearly led us to totally step away from the Grace ministry (at least on a weekly basis) and devote even more time to the PSC mobilizing missionaries ministry. This leaves us totally dependent on your support. We have learned to be comfortable with that position because our Father has come through every time. Nonetheless the ensuing months look pretty tight right now. We appreciate you praying about this.
Sorry there are not many pics this time; had a bit of computer trouble. For the lost of Asia,

Dear Praying Friends,
I have been in Psalms in July for my quiet time. Let me paraphrase/summarize David's words in Psalm 137. May I forget how to play guitar and how to sing if I forget the LORD in my songs. To forget Jerusalem is to forget Israel's special position in God. May my chief joy be my special relationship with God. What else is there worth singing about? or preaching about, or living for, or dying for?
July was an uneventful month for me. I just continued on with my 3 classes and Sunday School and preaching opportunities. I am hoping and praying though that my Christian Life class especially will encourage these young believers to live according to this kind of thinking in Psalm 137. Their lives are not just going through some Christian routine but are a celebration of a privileged relationship with Jesus Christ.
Next semester (October) I will be adjusting my class schedule to get more involved with PSC (helping to send out Filipino missionaries) and with the missions chapels at Febias.
We are happy to report that some of the students (we are targeting 50) will be going on short term missions exposure trips in October. I plan to go with one of the groups. From these trips we are confident that several of them will be led to full time missions. Please pray to that end. Thanks.
To keep things in perspective we thought we would share with you an example of one of our fellow-believers here answering the call. Arvie Suyu (everyone calls her Arnie) is one of our daughter Melissa's best friends. Arnie came to Christ when she was still a student. After 4 years at Word of Life (where she got to know Melissa) she has been on a church planting team in the province of Pampanga with SEND missionaries. Within this last year Arnie has felt God calling her to Thailand to reach out to the Shan Tribe. Of course we are praying that Arnie can raise her support and get there soon but also that God will raise many more (like Febias students) to join her to reach the unreached. This is what we want to make happen over and over again. Go to this link to see a bit about this unreached people that PSC is targeting: http://www.joshuaproject.net/people-profile.php?peo3=18205&rog3=TH

Most of you received an update and pics from Hillary concerning her India trip so I won't repeat that. We are glad to have her back and glad for the work God did in her life while she was there.
Sue has started her full time volunteer work at Faith Academy and loves it. It fits her to a "t". She is EMC Coordinator (Elementary Materials Center) and classroom assistant, helping behind the scenes saving teachers tons of time in the morning, and helping with art classes in the afternoon. Hillary is on the varsity volleyball team again this year and Heidi made the varsity girls soccer team as a freshman. Melissa (23) is working at her alma mater Appalachian Bible College. Cherry (19) is 10 days away from graduating from WOLBI. Pray for her decisions for the fall.

Concerning support, not much happened this month and we stand at 68% of our needed support. We are holding our own but need to get the support higher to be able to go all out with PSC (SEND Phils). If you could, please consider monthly or yearly support. Let us know or fill out the attached form.
We appreciate your prayers.

Dear Praying Friends,
The last 3 days in my quiet time have been in Mark 15 contemplating the sufferings of Christ. Step by step I have been amazed again at Jesus' love. The arrest, the trial, the scourging, the crucifixion, the humiliation, the agony. I wrote in my journal, "To be nailed to a cross in the first place for others is incredible love. To stay there and bear the agony while they mock you when you could indeed climb down is absolutely incomprehensible love. I think no man has ever done this except our Lord. Thank you Lord for your incomprehensible love." It is this unfathomable love that we tell others about here in Asia.
June was a transition month for ministry as Tom got settled into teaching 3 classes at 2 different colleges. He is teaching a total of 130 students in Church History, Christian Life and English. Next semester will be Intro to Missions. Please pray Tom can impact the lives of these young (17 year old) believers. The plan is to recruit/mobilize some of them into cross-cultural missions in Asia. My director, James Aberin and I have plotted a very simple strategy to give missions exposure to as many students as possible. Pray for Tom as he presents the "vision" to these students.
On the home front Sue is sewing up a storm during these summer months before she dives into her full-time volunteer duties at Faith Academy. Jill (25) settles into her home in NH. Melissa (23) just returned to WV from a one week missions trip to NM. Cherry (19 this week) shares the gospel with the "Ranchers" at Word of Life in NY. Heidi (13) is enjoying 10 days at a camp both working and being a camper. The big adventure this month is Hillary's (17) mission trip to India to work at an orphanage (7/7-7/21). Please pray for her safety, Mom and Dad's nerves while she's gone and for impact on her life and the children's lives.
We still stand at 68% support. We appreciate you considering monthly support or a once a year gift. That works too. We will attach a Pledge Form for this purpose. Thanks for your prayers. We do want to give praise to God for his provision through a church unexpectedly and unsolicited sending $2000. God's timing was impeccable as usual.
For the lost of Asia,
Tom & Sue

HILLARY ON MECHANICAL BULL

Dear Praying Friends
Sue and I had the opportunity to minister at the youth retreat for Grace Christian Church. I was able to preach 2 messages and 2 seminars and we both were part of the praise and worship team. Four students came to know Christ, twenty-eight committed to be baptized, eleven decided to investigate full-time ministry and sixty-nine dedicated their lives to Christ. We praise God for the fruit in the lives of these young people. Pray for them to follow through on their decisions.
As for family news Heidi was baptized on May 18th. Dad had the privilege of baptizing her. It was really a great celebration as several of her friends were baptized as well. Hillary is all set to go to India for her short term missions trip at an orphanage. We praise the Lord that enough support has come in for her. Please pray for safety and spiritual impact in her life and that she can be a blessing while there. Lord willing she departs for India on July 7 for 2 weeks.
My schedule for this new school year will be different than last year. I will be spending only one day per week (Monday) at Grace speaking in college chapel and teaching Church history. On Wednesday and Thursday I will be teaching Christian Life and Intro to Missions at Febias College of Bible. Besides being a great teaching opportunity with 68 students this is also an assignment from SEND Philippines to be recruiting and eventually mobilizing students for Asian missions. This was the main reason for coming back to the Philippines and we are excited to get started with this opportunity.
Because of our cutting back at Grace we will lose a large portion of the honorarium from that ministry (about $700). We stand at about 68% in our support. Please pray about standing with us financially with a monthly pledge of support. This will give us funds needed for ministry and give us more freedom to go through the open doors before us. Just let us know and we can give you the details about support.
As always thank you so much for your prayers.
For the lost of Asia,
Tom & Sue
PRAYER AND PRAISE
Pray for the Grace Christian students that made decisions
Praise for Hillary & Heidi's spiritual growth
Pray for Hillary's 2 week trip to India (July 7-21)
Pray for wisdom for Tom in teaching & challenging students
Pray for our support

HEIDI'S BAPTISM

GCC YOUTH RETREAT

Dear praying friends,
My quiet time recently was in Mark 4. Jesus calmed the sea. The disciples responded in fear, "Who then is this?" Who could this be that commands powerful forces of nature and they immediately obey his word? Of course, we know the answer; he is God Almighty, the one you and I try to share with the world. I think we believers also need a fresh dose every day of "Who then is this?" Who is this Great One who watches over me every day? Here are some highlights and updates.
It seems a sure thing now Tom will be teaching Christian Life as well as Missions at Febias Bible College here in Metro Manila. This is a good opportunity to teach and to recruit/mobilize men and women for cross-cultural missions. Classes start in June. Pray for Tom studying especially this coming week.
Thanks for praying for the short term missions team in Mindanao. We are hearing that things are going well. Will give a full report next time. Pray for the missions trip to Thailand also on May 14-27.
Tom preached Col 1:9-14 at Grace Christian Church and Sue had the opportunity to sing "Deeper Life" that was dove-tailed with the message. Tom also was able to preach at the sunrise service where the church baptized 17 believers. We were especially happy to see Lau, whom you have prayed for, baptized that day.
I was still not able to resume discipleship with Paul (Chinese believer) but should be able to when school starts again in June.
On the home front: Jill was able to visit us from the States. Melissa is on "bells tour" as a new graduate from Appalachian Bible College. She plans to work at the school there in WV for a year and minister in her local church. Cherry is finishing the academics at Word of Life and getting ready for summer camp counseling. Hillary is looking forward to and raising funds for her India orphanage trip in July. Heidi was in Annie (the musical) at her school.
Concerning support, here is the picture. We are at 68% of our final goal of $5983 per month. As usual we appreciate your prayers for that need. By faith I will be cutting back to one day a week at Grace Christian instead of five. This will impact the monthly honorarium but we feel it is time to take another step toward the goal of spending the lion's share of our time mobilizing Filipinos in reaching the rest of Asia.
Thanks for your time in reading this and thanks for your prayers.
For the lost of Asia,
Tom & Sue Dennison (Hillary & Heidi)

PS – I am including a pic of Sue & me because people said it was a good. Such a rare occurrence should not go unnoticed. Thought you might want to see who you're praying for also.
Dear Praying Friends,
TITUS 3:14 "Our people must learn to devote themselves to doing what is good, in order to provide for urgent needs and not live unproductive lives"
You all have applied this verse to your lives though your prayers and your gifts. I am so thankful and amazed at how fast the LORD has provided. I have approximately 600 dollars raised already. I would like to thank all of you who contributed, and all of those who prayed for me.
I have already purchased my ticket. I am flying on July 7th and will return on the 21st . I am currently working on some songs for the kids to learn, some games to teach them, and a few memory verses for them to learn. It's still not too late to get involved. I still need a little bit more to cover my airplane ticket, airport fees and a visa. If the LORD provides I would LOVE to use the money to buy gifts for the children and possibly bless the orphanage with a financial gift. If you want to help out, please make your check out to Titus International with Hillary Dennison's India Trip in the MEMO section. Send it to:
Titus International
1515 McBrien Rd.
Chattanooga TN 37412
Please pray for me
1) Pray for me not to get anxious and worried as the trip draws nearer.
2) Pray for my safety in traveling and as I am over there.
3) Pray that I will be blessed and that I will be a blessing.
4) Pray as I prepare games, songs and verses for the kids.
5) Pray I will be able to bless the orphanage with a financial gift.
Yours for INDIA

Dear Praying Friends,
My quiet time lately has been in Revelation. The wrath of God poured out on the earth will assuredly be unimaginable during the tribulation period. I can only praise God that by His grace we have emigrated out of the kingdom of darkness which will be crushed under God's displeasure. Thank you all for praying for all your missionary friends including us. We are your friends but we are also your servants sent out to rescue people out of some dark places. May we never forget that. May we never lose sight of why we are here (on the planet and in the Philippines). Here are some ministry happenings to praise and pray about.
*Paul, the new believer from China, has started attending Grace Christian Church. He just returned from an overseas trip so we will resume our discipleship again.
*Tom also had the opportunity at school to lead Abigail (6th grader) to the Lord. Pray for good follow-up for her after the summer break. Also Tom has started developing a FaceBook page for evangelism (search Cross-Cultured). Pray for wisdom in developing and using this. Tom is still clumsy with these things compared to the next generation.
*At Grace Tom has finished up teaching 1 & 2 Peter and 1 John, taught a Sunday school class on gambling (I betcha it was a good class!) and started preaching through Colossians. We covered the first 8 verses about faith, love and hope and even sang Love Never Fails as part of the message. Grace has 5 services to preach at so Tom got pretty good at it by the 5th time.
*In June Tom plans to go part-time with Grace and start in earnest on his ministry of recruiting/mobilizing Filipinos. In conjunction with that he hopes to begin teaching and promoting missions at FEBIAS, a well known Bible College in Metro Manila. This could be fertile ground indeed to get young men & women to consider launching out to bring light to some very dark lands. Pray for wisdom on Tom's class load and schedule. The 2 hour commute (one way on public) promises to be brutal but he is excited to be back teaching.
*On a broader scale we want to share that SEND Philippines has 2 short term missions teams going out in May & June. From this we realistically hope to see 3 people go full time into missions. Pray for good things to come from these trips. In the future, Tom hopes to be involved personally in these domestic and overseas missions trips.
*We shared that we preached the gospel at our friends' church last month. Jun & Lala shared with us that many of those who prayed to receive Christ are now attending church or are being followed-up in a Bible study. Praise God. Thanks for your prayers.
*On the personal front here's what's happening. Hillary is committed to a 2 week missions trip in July to an orphanage in India. Cherry's transmission blew in NH and God provided a large gift to help with repair. Sue is going to volunteer full-time at Faith Academy as an elementary teacher's aide. She is excited about that. Heidi will appear in the school musical Annie later this month. We moved into another house. This one suits us very well. We love it and hope to stay a long time here.
*As for the ongoing quest for support we gained $25 this month. We could still use about $300 additional right away to make up for transitioning out of Grace. Thanks for praying for that and considering it. Pledges of every size add up. Some of you might want to give a larger one time gift if that's easier to get us through until June 2012 when we'll re-evaluate our support needs.
Appreciate your helping us "send them out". Their impact will be felt for eternity; undoubtedly.

Dear Praying Friends,A good friend of mine died in late January. His name was Don Ackerman. He & his wife Phyllis became missionaries to the Philippines about the same time Sue and I did; only Don was about 20 years older than me. They had a great ministry for about 20 years giving Filipino pastors an opportunity to receive more education to improve their ministries. Don & Phyllis served as surrogate grandparents for our 5 daughters and for other MKs as well. Don got hit with several serious health problems through their time on the field but somehow he & Phyllis just kept going. That was always an inspiration to me. No one would have thought any less of Don if for any of his health issues he had said, "Well I guess I'd better go back to the States and leave the work to the younger and healthier". But they never did. They slugged it out and kept going. They just kept trusting God and putting one foot in front of the other (with artificial hips and all). That kind of faithful endurance is rare, I think, these days. When Don was about 70 they finally retired to the States. Two years later God called him home. He was a good friend and an inspiration to many. He fought a really good fight (2 Tim 4:7-8). He will be missed.
I wonder if there is anyone out there who is young and healthy who could take Don's place. They say Christianity is experiencing explosive growth in Asia. But there are about a million pastors with zero training. There are a number of avenues you could follow to be part of the effort to train Christian leaders who have no training. Pray about it.
As for the Dennisons, Sue had the extra busy month in February. Besides the usual chores Sue went on Outdoor Ed. with the Faith Academy middle school. She was part of the team that cooked for 5 days for 250 people. Heidi was one of the 250. She got to swim in a volcano, scuba dive and kill a chicken with her bare hands for her group to cook and eat. Very cool stuff for middle schoolers. Sue was in her element with all the cooking and organizing that goes with it. It was a complicated affair.Later Sue was part of a team of ladies hosting a ladies retreat out in the province. Sue baked delicious treats for the coffee break times and handled the registration.
Hillary had an opportunity to play in an international basketball tourney in Guam with the Faith Academy team. So it was an adventurous month for the Dennison girls.Tom had a good month as well continuing with college and high school chapels. I continue to disciple Paul, a new Chinese believer. He is doing his quiet time daily and has started attending church. He has a lot of questions. Keep praying for Paul.
I was also able to preach the gospel at a special event held by an old friend of mine. It was the first time since being back that I got to preach in Tagalog. It was a joy. Most of the audience were unbelievers and about 40 made professions of faith. I will try to find out about any lasting fruit from my friend Jun Lazo.
I also had the chance to share Christ with an audience of about 700 at a special event of Grace Christian College. Many non-Christian parents of students were there.
We are still in need of about $300 more in monthly support so we can go part time at Grace and start our mobilizing ministry in earnest. I have already met with the president of a Bible college here where I hope to teach missions and recruit potential missionaries at the same time. Please pray about joining our support team.
We are moving to another house this Saturday, Match 19. We hope this one's long-term. Pray for wisdom and good deals on appliances and furniture.
Thank you for your prayers. We need them and appreciate them.

Dear Praying Friends,
Last month we shared the exciting news that Paul (a Chinese student) had come to Christ. I have just started meeting with him on a weekly basis. He seems appreciative of the opportunity to learn about walking with Christ and has some interesting questions. Keep praying for wisdom for me and growth for Paul.
Concerning support we had a new church and 4 individuals added to our support team. We praise God for this. We also lost some support so this brings us to $420 of the targeted $700 more needed by July. Please pray about joining the team if you have not seriously considered it before. With the $700 more support we can begin to launch out into our intended ministry of training Filipino missionaries. In fact, there is an open forum being held this Saturday night to introduce our vision to some key Christian organizations and leaders.
You have prayed for Law and Ivy in the past. I was missing them from my Sunday School class and was worried that they had drifted away. After 5 weeks he approached me on a Sunday morning and apologized for missing my class because he has been in baptismal classes. Hallelujah! I may have the chance to baptize him since I had a part in his becoming settled in His trust in Christ. What a privilege! Pray for both of them to grow in Christ.
Again I had the opportunity to teach English for 7 days to 24 Korean middle and high schoolers. We did our best to share the gospel since only about 1/3 of them attend church. However the language barrier was huge. Pray we could sharpen up our future English camps and make the right adjustments so we could have a more significant spiritual impact.
After English camp I drove to a different location and spoke at the seniors retreat for the high school. "Love & Courtship", "Defending Your Faith", and Psalm 78 were some of the topics. I got to speak 6 times to the 300 plus students. During the final message I even got to share with them a song I wrote for Jill that went well with the message. Amazingly they liked it.
College & High School chapels are going well. I seem to be able to connect with them. Pray for wisdom in these last 2 months of school as I choose the topics to share with them and that the messages I share will actually penetrate their hearts. Help us, O Holy Spirit!
The most exciting news is about Teresita. She is in grade 6. I know her from the school. She walked up to me at church and announced she was not really a Christian but was actually a Catholic. I asked her a few questions to figure out where she was spiritually and was able to share the gospel with her. A few minutes later she was praying to receive Christ. Double Hallelujah! Pray that I can help her grow and that she will connect with the youth group next school year (starts in June).
That's about it for January. Thanks for your prayers and support. Next month we'll be telling you about Sue's exploits. She has some very cool opportunities to use her skills in February cooking for 250. Details next month.

New Believer, Paul:

Dear praying friends,
As we walk through this Christian life our perceptions change as we mature in Christ. Different values rise and fall on our priority list. But I have found two ideas, two cravings actually, that never seem to go away. One is the hunger to know Christ more and more in a personal way (Phil. 3:10). The other is to make a difference; to make an eternal difference in someone's life, many lives, family members' lives (Rom. 10:13-14). By your prayers for us you help us on the first score. By your prayers and your financial support you help us on the second. Thanks for both.
Thank you for praying for the college kids here at GCC. One of the students from mainland China recently came to Christ. I was not the one to lead him Christ but he said to me that he is excited about being discipled. It will be a great privilege to be part of that. Pray for Paul in his new Christian life.
Tom was thrilled to be able to preach the gospel at a presentation of A Christmas Carol. There were about 700 in attendance and about 40 made professions of faith in Christ.
STRATEGIC REQUEST - Currently Tom is working full time at Grace Christian College. The honorarium they give makes up for the shortfall in our support, thus allowing us to be here. Though this is a worthwhile ministry we long to be able to start in earnest our ministry recruiting, mobilizing and training Filipinos as missionaries to other southeast Asian countries. To do this starting in July we needed about $700 more monthly support. We have picked up $50 more this past month so we will still need $650. Please prayerfully consider joining our support team. Every little bit helps. Send us a quick email if you can help and we will let you know how to do that.
Cherry (daughter #3) came for a visit in December. She is now back at the Word of Life Bible Institute in NY. Jill & Josiah moved into their house in NH. Melissa is starting her final semester at Appalachian Bible College. Appreciate your prayers for our "stateside kids".
Yours in Christ,
Tom & Sue Dennison
(Jill & Josiah, Melissa, Cherry, Hillary & Heidi)
Prayer requests
1. Praise for Paul coming to Christ; pray for his growth
2. Praise for many hearing the gospel at A Christmas Carol
3. Praise for Cherry's safe travel
