Gerald
and Kristin Ziemer are Word of Life Bible Institute graduates
who joined the Titus International missionary family highly
recommended by Word of Life and their commissioning church,
Highland Park Baptist Church of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Both Gerald and Kristin came
to Christ at an early age and were reared in godly Christian
homes. Gerald graduated from Tennessee Temple University
with a BS in Christian Ministries. Kristin grew up on
the West coast and attended Western Baptist College
in Salem, OR where she graduated with a BS in Intercultural
Studies. In 1993 they were accepted as missionaries
to Romania with Word of Life International and had over
two years of effective youth ministry in the capital,
Bucharest. After their first term in Romania, they chose
to join the Titus family and continue their ministries
among youth and children in Romania.

The Ziemers began an effective
discipleship ministry for these young believers. Many
have made personal commitments to serve the Lord in
full-time ministry and share a special relationship
with the Ziemers as they continue to be trained to do
the work of the ministry. They get hands on training,
working side-by-side with the Ziemers in conducting
sports evangelism, Bible club work and Christian youth
camps. They coordinate with existing Romanian
churches and church planting ministries and missionaries,
including Titus co-workers Gerald and Kathy Whitely.
Following is evident fruit from their labors in Romania:

I
was raised in a Christian family with 6 brothers and 3
sisters. I
am 21 years old and I live in
Bucharest
(
Romania
).
I received a good Christian education from my
parents and as a child most of my free time was spent
with my brothers. Going
to church, praying, and reading the Bible seemed liked
normal things I should to do because every good
Christian does these things.
When
I was thirteen, I went to a Christian high school and I
strove to be good in order to be accepted by my friends
and to not make God upset.
I knew about God but I did not know God, I did
not have a personal relationship with Him.
Listening
to my pastor in church I understood that I needed to
trust Jesus as my Lord and Savior, and ask forgiveness
for my sins. I
made that decision and by Gods grace He gave me a
new heart with the desire to obey and have fellowship
with Him. I became involved with the worship team in my
church and the fellowship with the other believers and
their testimonies encouraged me to grow spiritually.
In
1999 I was invited to go on a summer ministry with youth
from my church that worked with TITUS International.
That fall I became involved in the ministry in
Fundulea. For
one year in that ministry, I saw people coming to know
the Lord and His love changing their lives.
God worked in my heart as well and brought me to
the point where I decided to dedicate my life to him,
and to serve him. For
the past 18 months I have been serving with the youth in
the
Hope
Baptist
Church
in Fundulea.
My desire is to help these youth to grow
spiritually and to share the powerful message of the
Gospel to the Romanians in the villages from the
South-East part of
Romania

I was born in a Christian family twenty years
ago. I grew up in Bucharest the capital of Romania and
from a young age I received a good Christian
education. I was going to church every Sunday, and was
very active in Sunday school. Going to church,
praying, and reading the Bible seemed liked normal
things I should to do, because every “good Christian”
does these things. Spending a lot of time with my
unchristian friends from school I started to act like
them, doing a lot of bad things like drinking,
fighting etc. The influence of these friends made me
less active in Sunday school and I even stopped going
altogether. I knew that there was a big problem in my
life but I didn’t have the strength or will to change
the situation. At age thirteen I went to a Word of
Life Bible
Club, and from the beginning of the program God
started to work in my heart. He helped me understand
that with the kind life I was living I was going to
hell, but because of Gods love I could receive
forgiveness of my sins through Christ’s blood. When
the Bible club leader gave the invitation I received
Jesus in my life as Lord and Savior, and by God’s
grace I received a new heart with the desire to obey
and have fellowship with Him. In the winter of 1998 I
got involved with Titus
International, in Fundulea, which is our main
ministry. After this, our ministry expanded starting
new ministries in Jilava and Giurgiu. During this time
I saw many people come to know the Lord, His love and
power making great changes in their lives. God worked
in my heart as well and brought me to the point where
I dedicated my life to serve Him.
For the past 18 months I was graduated from the
Word of Life Bible School in Hungary in
August, 2005. Now I'm involved in ministry working with
the teens
from Fundulea and doing Bible Studies with the men
from our church. My desire is to help the youth and
the grown people to grow spiritually, to know Christ
so that they will reach their friends and relatives
with the Word of God.
Amen.

"Hello! I am 19-years
old. I was born into a non-Christian family. My grandparents
are Christians however, so I went to church since I
was a child, and my dad eventually became a Christian.
As I grew I started to love the world with its fun.
I became a mean person and cared only about myself.
I was very confused, but I didn't want to admit it.
I dabbled in some unhealthy psychological practices
and studied Hindu doctrine. This material planted in
me a deep intellectual thirst that I realized later
was actually the desire of being happy. I knew that
happiness comes from inside and it means peace with
God. My pride kept me from accepting Jesus as Lord of
my life until 1997 when I went to a Christian summer
camp. There the Holy Spirit moved my heart. I felt sorry
for my sins and I asked Jesus to come into my heart
as my personal Savior. Since I've received Christ I've
been involved in several ministries and I believe that
God wants me to a missionary. To be a good missionary
I believe I need to go to a Bible Institute where I
can learn and apply the Bible."
